Ecommerce & online retail

Ecommerce websites for retailers that need more than a storefront.

Good ecommerce sits across the buying journey and the catalogue underneath it. FifteenFold works across UX, product discovery, product data, Merchant Center, feeds, marketplaces, CRO and the operational decisions connecting them.

The buying decision

A retailer can lose the sale before the customer reaches checkout.

Search, filters, category structure, variant logic, product information, trust, delivery and price all shape whether the right product feels easy to find and safe to buy. A visual redesign will not fix a catalogue that customers cannot understand.

DiscoverySearch, taxonomy, filters and merchandising that help customers narrow the range.
Product certaintyVariants, specifications, condition, imagery, delivery, returns and trust at the point of choice.
Product dataTitles, attributes, identifiers, price and availability that support the storefront and external channels.
ConversionMobile usability, basket, checkout, payment and experiment priorities linked to measurable behaviour.

Project evidence

Different catalogues create different buying problems.

The point is not to force every retailer into one ecommerce template. These projects show why the discovery model, trust system and data structure have to follow the product and customer decision.

Below the storefront

The catalogue has to work for the website and the channels around it.

For retailers using Google Shopping, marketplaces or multiple sales channels, product data becomes part of acquisition as well as onsite UX. Weak identifiers, inconsistent variants or stale availability can create problems in several places at once.

Source

Catalogue structure

Decide which system owns titles, attributes, identifiers, variants, price and availability.

Transform

Feed & channel logic

Use channel rules deliberately rather than allowing them to become permanent patches for weak source data.

Measure

Customer & channel performance

Connect catalogue quality, Merchant Center diagnostics, search visibility and conversion work to a prioritised backlog.

Relevant retailers

Useful where product choice, data quality or repeat buying materially affects the sale.

01

Specialist retail

Products need explanation, filtering, compatibility or confidence before the customer can choose.

02

Large catalogues

Taxonomy, search, filters and structured product data matter as much as visual design.

03

B2B ordering

Saved products, repeat ordering, account logic and operational speed can be more important than inspiration-led browsing.

04

Multi-channel retail

The same catalogue needs to remain dependable across the website, Shopping, marketplaces and other destinations.

Based in St Albans. Ecommerce work can be delivered UK-wide.

Local proximity is useful when a Hertfordshire business wants direct senior access, but the ecommerce, product-data and consultancy work is not geographically limited.

Questions

Ecommerce website questions.

Do you only build new ecommerce stores?

No. Existing stores can be audited and improved when the platform is still suitable. A rebuild is not automatically the first recommendation.

Can you work on product data without redesigning the storefront?

Yes. Catalogue, Merchant Center and feed problems can often be diagnosed and improved independently of a website redesign.

Do you work with Shopify and WooCommerce?

Yes. FifteenFold also has broader ecommerce and Magento / Adobe Commerce experience where platform and catalogue decisions require it.

Can you help if we already have a PPC or development agency?

Yes. We can work alongside existing teams, provide a second opinion or handle the specialist Merchant Center, feed, catalogue or CRO layer.
